Warriors' Klay Thompson Has Concussion, Won't Return Until "Symptom-Free"

With all the hoopla of the Warriors getting to the Finals, it's also been an uneasy week. Steph Curry's injury, coupled with Klay Thompson's injury is a reminder the NBA is a physical league--and it’s been decades since the Warriors have had to play this far into the season. After undergoing tests Wednesday night through Friday morning, doctors determined Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson did sustain a concussion in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.

In a statement, the Warriors said that Thompson will "not return to the court until he is symptom-free and cleared under the NBA’s concussion protocol guidelines. He will be evaluated daily and there is no timetable for his return.”

The NBA Finals begin on Thursday.
