Water Main Break Sends Hundreds of Gallons of Water Flowing Through Santa Rosa Streets

Santa Rosa public works officials are advising drivers to avoid the area of College Avenue between North Street and Monroe Avenue in Santa Rosa due to a water main break early Sunday morning.

A fire dispatcher said a call came in at 1:59 a.m. reporting hundreds of gallons of water flowing into the street.

The dispatcher said no injuries were reported and crews are on scene working to repair the line quickly and safely.

The rupture closed the streets and a traffic detour was likely to be in effect until about 12 p.m., according to fire officials.
