Allegedly the man was hurling rocks through businesses, Saturday night.

A man was arrested for allegedly throwing large rocks through the windows of three businesses in Watsonville Saturday night, police said.

Officers responded around 10:35 p.m. to a report of vandalism that had just occurred at Santa Barbara Bank and Trust at 655 Main St., police said. There, they found that a large rock had been hurled through the bank's front glass door.

The witness positively identified the man, 46-year-old Watsonville resident Isaias Fernandez.

Police said the suspect also apparently threw large rocks through the front glass windows of China Buffet at 420 Main St. and Creative Nails at 529 Main St.

Total damage to all three businesses was estimated at about $1,500, police said.

Officers arrested Fernandez on suspicion of felony vandalism and took him to county jail.

Police continue to investigate the vandalism and are asking anyone with more information to call Watsonville police at (831) 768-3350 or (831) 768-3544.
