Why Sacramento Smells Like a Pina Colada

A tanker truck flipped over, spilling a load of coconut oil all over a Sacramento road.

The rig crashed at about 2 a.m. Wednesday along Florin Perkins Road near Belvedere Avenue.

The truck, which was carrying about 7,000 gallons of the oil, was on the way to a nearby Proctor and Gamble facility when the crash occurred.

Coconut oil gushed all over the road, filling a nearby ditch. The oil congealed on the roadway, making it as slick as an ice rink.

The cleanup effort was expected to take several hours.
