Several people broke into a San Jose home early Monday morning,  assaulted the occupants and took off with some of their electronic items, police Sgt. Ronnie Lopez said.

Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at about 5 a.m. at a home in the 300 block of Fuller Avenue, Lopez said.

That is in north Willow Glen near Willow and Minnesota.

He said between seven and 10 people entered the home, assaulted a family inside and fled with the stolen goods.

The victims suffered minor injuries and were not transported to a hospital, Lopez said.

The suspects were armed with guns but no shots were fired, he said.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the Police Department's robbery unit at (408) 277-4166.
