An 87-year-old Connecticut man was found dead near his vacation home.

The Coast Guard rescued a stranded windsurfer about a mile off shore near the San Mateo Bridge Saturday just minutes before 10 p.m.

Ante Buljan, 49, lost power when the wind died down. His son phoned Coast Guard at 4:45 p.m. Saturday asking for help.

Buljan was wearing a wetsuit and a life jacket when he sailed out of Coyote Point.

There is no word yet on Buljan's condition, but an ambulance was on site.
