Winning Numbers Announced for Giant Jackpot

The winning numbers in the Mega Millions Tuesday January 4 drawing were 15, 47, 4, 25, 8 and the Mega number was 42.
The jackpot was $355 million dollars.
Alex Traverso with the California Lottery said late Tuesday night no tickets were sold in California with all 6 winning numbers. He noted there still could be a jackpot winner since 41 other states participate in the Mega Millions game. Traverso said there was no word if there was a jackpot winner in another state.
If a Californian wins the prize, it could be the biggest amount ever awarded in the golden state. The estimated cash option for tonight’s draw is a whopping $224.2 million.
Tuesday's Mega Millions made history as one of the largest jackpots in US history. Ticket sales skyrocketed on New Year's Eve when the jackpot was a mere $290 million. No one won the big prize that night, so now it's up another $65 million.
