Woman, 78, Killed in Morgan Hill Car Accident

A vehicle driven by a 65-year-old woman fatally struck an elderly pedestrian on Friday evening  in Morgan Hill.

At about 6:30 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to investigate a  collision involving a female pedestrian and a vehicle on Monterey Road, just  south of John Wilson Way, police said on Tuesday.

Officers arrived on scene and rendered aid to the pedestrian, though she was later pronounced dead.

According to officers, the pedestrian was a 78-year-old Morgan  Hill woman. Her name is being withheld pending notification of her next of  kin.

Police said that the driver of the vehicle, a 65-year-old Morgan  Hill woman, is not suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or  drugs.
