The woman accused of sneaking into Jeopardy host Alex Trebek's San Francisco hotel room and robbing him, says she was never in the room.
Lucinda Moyers admits she was in the Marriot Marquis on July 26, according to the San Francisco Examiner, but says she never entered Trebek's room.
Moyers says she is a prostitute and was there to meet a client. She says she ran when Trebek started chasing her because she didn't want hotel security to know why she was in the hotel.
Prosecutors say Moyers sneaked into Trebek's hotel room on July 26 while he and his wife were in bed asleep. They say she stole $650 in cash, a wallet and jewelry.
During the alleged robbery, Trebek says he woke up, noticed her in the room and chased her out. The 71-year-old stopped chasing her when he tore an Achilles tendon. Hotel security captured her before she got out of the hotel.
Moyers has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Trebek was in town to film the National Geographic World Championships at Google in Mountain View.
