Woman Arrested For DUI After Pinning Man With Car in Antioch Parking Lot

A 53-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after pinning a man against a wall with her vehicle in a liquor store parking lot in Antioch Wednesday morning, police said.

Police received several calls at about 10:20 a.m. reporting a possible shooting at Romi's Liquor & Food at 418 E. 18th St., but officers arrived and determined that a traffic collision, not a shooting, had occurred.

A 31-year-old man had just left the store when the woman, an Oakland resident, pulled into the parking lot and crashed into the wall, pinning the man against it, according to police.

He was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries to his lower extremities, police said.

The woman, whose name was not immediately released, was arrested and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
