A woman from Pacific Grove was arrested at her home on Saturday after she allegedly stole a cashmere sweater from a boutique in Carmel.

Kimberly Ann Crocker, 41, went into She boutique on 110 Crossroads Blvd. and allegedly stole a $420 Magaschoni cashmere sweater, according to the Monterey County Sheriff's Office.

The sales clerk was able to provide a description of Crocker and her vehicle, and deputies obtained a search warrant to contact the suspect at her home, located at 31 Country Club Gate.

Deputies searched Crocker's home and located the missing sweater, the sheriff's office said.

Under further questioning, Crocker allegedly admitted to stealing the merchandise.

She was arrested for burglary and possession of stolen property and booked at Monterey County Jail.
