A 35-year-old woman accused of murder and driving under the influence in a traffic collision that killed a Walnut Creek man and his 8-month-old child pleaded not guilty to felony charges Thursday in Contra Costa County Superior Court.

Jessica Ann Martin, from Tennessee, was arrested at the scene of the four-car crash, which occurred around 6:30 p.m. Oct. 25 on South Broadway in Walnut Creek.

Hector Garza, 45, died at the scene. His baby girl, Camilla, died at a hospital.

Martin was charged with four felonies, including two counts of murder and driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.

A fundraiser set up to help Garza's family had raised over $119,000 as of Friday morning.
