A woman was splashed in the face with bleach and struck with a glass bottle in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood on Monday night, police said.

The attack was reported at about 10 p.m. in the 900 block of Connecticut Street.

The suspect, a woman in her 40s, drove up to the 25-year-old victim, got out of her white four-door Acura and retrieved a bottle of bleach and a glass bottle, according to police.

The suspect splashed bleach in the victim's face and struck her with the bottle before fleeing. She had not been found as of this morning, police said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for her injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.

Anyone with information about the attack is encouraged to call the Police Department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
