Jennifer Trejo of Morgan Hill looks happy and healthy these days, especially after overcoming death.
As we reported back in August, the 32-year old is recovering after collapsing at home from sudden cardiac arrest. Doctors confirmed she died, but due to a fast response by an ambulance team and Regional Medical Center, she escaped brain damage.

“I feel good. I feel like I'm able to live life and see it a little different now,” Trejo said. “I'm grateful for that."
But Trejo had unfinished business. She reached out to paramedic Samantha Tennison and EMT David Ramos who rescued her. They reunited at Regional Medical Center.
"It's an emotion like, wow, these are the people that saved me and I really didn't expect to feel this way right now,” Trejo said. “I knew it would be emotional, but just not that emotional."

“It was just especially kind of close to my heart because I heard her husband in the other room,” Tennison said. “I'm looking at her, I'm seeing family pictures, and I just watched to make sure that she had the best outcome and that we gave her the best of us."
But Trejo's most enduring image from death was hearing her late father's reassuring voice telling her she would make it.
"I asked for that. I asked and had prayed before that if anything was to happen to me, ‘please send my dad,’” she laughed. “And there he was. Very comforting. I feel like, I feel like he's with me now and I don't doubt it now."
Trejo is getting checked regularly but says, in her heart, she knows she's back.
