Authorities found the deceased woman around 2 a.m.

Police are investigating a suspicious death in Oakland after the body of a woman was discovered inside a home in the city's Oakmore neighborhood early Saturday morning, a police spokeswoman said.

Authorities found the deceased woman at about 2 a.m. inside a home in the 4100 block of Lyman Road, which is between Clemens and Tiffin roads, Officer Johnna Watson said.

Police investigators are working with the Alameda County coroner's bureau to identify the circumstances of the woman's death, which Watson said was deemed suspicious.
