Words Carly Isn't Using on the Campaign Trail

Republican Carly Fiorina has yet to win her party's nomination for U.S. Senate, but her campaign rhetoric implies otherwise.

During an address to the Sacramento Press Club on Tuesday, Fiorina never mentioned her two primary opponents, former congressman Tom Campbell and state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore.

The former Hewlett-Packard chief executive instead attacked incumbent Barbara Boxer, a liberal icon who is seeking her fourth term.

It is an interesting thing to do especially when you look at the last Field Poll in California which shows Campbell in the lead.

Fiorina says she's not taking the nomination for granted, though. She says primary voters want to know their nominee can beat the Democrat, so she's zeroing in on jobs and the economy.

The first-term candidate who admits she failed to vote for many years is trailing Campbell in early polls.
