Yahoo's ongoing attempt to reinvent itself could go the way of streaming video.
The Sunnyvale-based search engine company has reportedly approached Hulu about a possible acquisition. The video-sharing site has gained a large following by streaming television shows online for free shortly after they first air.
Hulu is jointly owned by NBC Universal, News Corporation, the Walt Disney Company and the private equity investor Providence Equity Partners.
The move would be another push to content aggregation for Yahoo, which has gone that direction since its latest site redesign.
