YouTube Video Shows Sideshow-Related Shooting

Oakland police are seeking information from the public about a Sideshow-related shooting early Saturday morning, some of which was captured on a YouTube video.

At about 4:15 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of a  shooting that appears to have happened after two cars involved in illegal  ideshow stunt crashed into each other, police said.

The people in the cars got into a yelling match and someone fired shots, police said. The people involved in the fight fled before police arrived. No shooting victims were located.

Police are pointing to a graphic YouTube video footage titled "Oakland 7th Street Crash" and are hoping  members of the public will come forward with information. The video, posted by a "79cobra510" which had more than 62,000 hits on Wednesday, shows  young men kicking and jumping on a car. There are sounds of glass breaking, a  female screaming and gunshots.

Anyone who can help identify participants in Saturday's shooting  are urged to contact police at (510) 238-7959 or call the toll-free tip line  at (855) 847-7247. People can also text a tip to police at 888777 from a  cellphone.
