Two children, ages 11 and 16, were rushed to the hospital after being shot at a home in the Cobbs Creek section of Philadelphia. NBC10's Nefertiti Jaquez says police are looking for two gunmen.
A young boy and a teenage girl are in the hospital after police say two masked gunmen knocked on their door and then opened fire.
Police say an 11-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl were inside a home on the 1500 block of South 58th Street watching the Eagles playoff game along with their 18-year-old brother and 16-year-old friend.
Police say their parents were out of town and that the 18-year-old was babysitting.
Investigators say two men wearing ski masks arrived at the home shortly before 11 p.m. and knocked on the door. When the two children answered, the two unidentified men opened fire before fleeing the scene, according to police.
Both the teen girl and the boy were struck in the leg. They were taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where they are both in stable condition.
Police say they found a semi-automatic handgun in a bag ditched on the side of the road a few blocks away from the home.
No arrests have been made. Police have not yet released a description of the suspects.
