Alabama Teacher Accused of Sending Topless Selfie to Student

A Mobile County, Alabama, middle school teacher has been placed on leave after officials say she shared a topless selfie with one of her students, NBC News reported.

Andrea Slade, 32, turned herself in to police on Friday, but no charges were immediately announced, reported NBC affiliate WPMI. Slade, a married mother of two, is an eighth grade science teacher at Hankins Middle School.

Slade told police that she had sent the selfie to her husband and that a student somehow got a hold of her phone and shared it. But authorities say there's evidence showing that she was the one who sent the picture to a student over the summer.
