Bill Clinton to Stump for Hillary in New Hampshire

Former President Bill Clinton is hitting the road to campaign for his wife in the all-important primary state of New Hampshire, NBC News reported.

Clinton's campaign announced Monday that the former president will make his first campaign trip of the year on January 4th. Clinton's rival, Bernie Sanders, is polling close to Clinton in New Hampshire.

The announcement comes after GOP frontrunner Donald Trump mentioned Clinton's plan to bring her husband on the trail and released a flood of attacks against the former president, referring to Clinton's affair with intern Monica Lewinsky.

An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll this year found that Bill Clinton remains very popular with the general public.
