Former Middle School Parent-Teacher Treasurer Accused of Stealing $11K

Police said Trudden, who held the position for two years, used more than $11,000 on unauthorized purchases

A former parent-teacher organization treasurer is being accused of larceny for misusing more than $11,000 of the organization's funds, East Haven Police said. 

An investigation conducted by the East Haven Police led authorities to believe Jodi Trudden misused funds during her time as treasurer for the Ferrara Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization in Connecticut. 

Police said Trudden, who held the position for two years, used more than $11,000 on unauthorized purchases for Amazon, supermarkets, Bath & Body Works, BJ's Wholesale, eBay, Yankee Candle, Videostripe.com, Wafios Machinery, Wal-Mart and Zulily, along with many others. 

Trudden was releasted on a $5,000 bond and is expected to appear in court on April 13.
