A man in Maine was arrested for dressing in dozens of branches to block traffic on Monday afternoon. Portland police arrested the man after he walked back-and-forth slowly through downtown traffic dressed as a tree. Police took him to jail on a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a public way. Police say the man's motivation was to "see how people would react to his performance" and how it would "impact people's natural choreography." (Published Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016)

Police say they've arrested a man dressed as a tree for blocking traffic in Maine.

They say the man didn't respond to officers when they warned him against obstructing traffic in a busy intersection in downtown Portland.

NBC affiliate WCSH-TV posted video of the man being arrested after he blocked traffic again.

A friend of the man, identified by authorities as 30-year-old Asher Woodworth, says he was trying to study the city's traffic patterns.

[NATL-DFW] Caught on Video: Officer Saves Deer From Storm Drain

A New Jersey police officer is credited with rescuing three deer in the past year. He is now affectionately known as "The Deer Whisperer," and his latest rescue was caught on camera. The cute baby deer was trapped in a storm drain. Officer Timothy Majek, a 22 year veteran of the Woodbridge Police Department, quickly came to the rescue. Majek, a self-professed animal lover, jumped into the drain and lifted the fawn to safety.
