A driver who crashed his car so hard it broke in half was arrested Thursday in Leominster, Massachusetts.
Police say 39-year-old Taino Reyes was driving with a suspended license when a state trooper tried to pull him over around 6:15 p.m. for allegedly running a stop sign.
Police says Reyes remains hopsitalized at UMass Medical Center in Worcester, Mass.
Once he is medically cleared he will be taken into State Police custody and brought to court for arraignment.
When police caught up with the car at the corner of Mills Street and Williams Street, it was in pieces, and Reyes was nowhere to be found.
Authorities say Reyes fled on foot and was found in a parking lot at the Mall at Whitney Field. He was arrested on charges of operating after his license was suspended, leaving the scene of a crash and failure to stop.
Reyes was taken to a hospital to be evaluated for possible injuries. He will be booked upon his release.
