School Bus Overturns in Baltimore County; Students Hurt

Forty-two people were on the bus at the time of the crash, authorities said

A crash involving a school bus left students injured and the bus on its side Wednesday afternoon in Baltimore County, Maryland, according to news reports.

Dozens of people were reported to be injured, but many students were able to walk to medics, officials told WBAL 11.

There were 42 people on the bus, according to a Baltimore County Police and Fire statement. The driver and eight students were taken to area hospitals, but the injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.

Emergency crews were called to York Road in the Bunker Hill area about 2:30 p.m., WBAL 11 reported.

The bus was carrying students from Hereford Middle School and Hereford High School, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Information on the cause of the crash was not available immediately.
