Winds Sock Midwest, Spring Snow Ahead for Northeast

Most areas will accumulate between 1 to 3 inches of snow

After a blustery night in the Midwest, forecasters said that strong winds and snow would continue to sweep across the Northeast Sunday, NBC News reported.

High wind advisories were in place from Ohio to Maine, as well as southern Illinois and most of Kentucky, forecasters said.

The weather has already knocked out power in chunks of Indiana and Pennsylvania and Ohio, where wind gusts Saturday topped 60 miles per hour.

Forecasters said much of the Northeast could see temperatures in the 20s and 30s, which is below average. Around 4 to 6 inches of snow could fall in parts of upstate New York to parts of Massachusetts near Boston, and much Connecticut could see 1 to 3 inches.
