Surveillance Video Captures Brazen Smash-and-Grab Robbery of Houston Gun Store

At least three men have been arrested in connection to a brazen smash-and-grab robbery at a gun store in Texas caught on camera, according to NBC's Houston affiliate Click2Houston.

Surveillance footage shows a black Ford F-250 back up to the front entrance of Carter's Country Guns and Ammon around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. One of the suspects breaks the glass door and chains the metal security gate to the back of the pickup truck. The truck rips off the bars and the robbers, wearing hoodies and masks to hide their identities, run into the store.

Police say as many as 10 suspects raided the store, breaking glass cases that stored handguns and stealing several rifles off the racks, Click2Houston reported.

Security cameras show the robbers running out of the store, dropping guns on their way out. More than 50 firearms were stolen, Houston police said.

Officials said after fleeing the gun store, some of the suspects got into another vehicle, possibly a late model Chevrolet Traverse SUV, and escaped in an unknown direction, according to Click2Houston.

Police have not released the identities of the suspects who have been arrested, but the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms told Click2Houston that federal charges are expected to be filed.
