Two Suspected of Plotting Attacks Arrested: Belgium

Two people were arrested on suspicion of planning holiday terror attacks in Belgium, NBC News reported.

A series of raids on Sunday and Monday in the Brussels, Liege and Brabant regions led to the arrests, according to the federal prosecutor’s office.

Six people were brought in for questioning, but four were released. The remaining two were placed under arrest — one for allegedly leading and recruiting for a terror group and the other for allegedly participating in a terror group’s activities.

Searches turned up military-style training uniforms and ISIS propaganda material. No weapons or explosives were found.
