A frightening video recorded during Sunday’s icy road conditions is making the rounds on the Internet.
A YouTube user recorded a tractor trailer nearly crushing his car in the nouthbound lanes of I-95 at exit 9 in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
“I was blocked by two trucks,” the man said. “I only wanted to take a picture while I was waiting for them to clear up.”
Suddenly an out of control tractor trailer moved towards his vehicle and swerved out of the way at the last second, just missing his car. It moved over the median before finally coming to a stop.
“Once I turned off the camera, I called 911 and reported the accident,” the man said. “After that I came to the truck and the rest of the cars to verify they were alright.”
"The driver of the tractor-trailer did a great job maintaining his vehicle to avoid striking other cars," said Sgt. First Class Gregory Williams of the New Jersey State Police.
This accident was just one of more than 400 under investigation in New Jersey in conjunction with Sunday's icy conditions.
