Ammiano's Manners Get Him Bounced From the Castro
Signs go up in a City neighborhood telling politician to stay away
Tom Ammiano might have to be more careful about what he says if he wants to visit the Castro again.
Former San Francisco Supervisor and longtime gay rights activist Tom Ammiano is no longer welcome in a neighborhood that has a long history of being a sanctuary for ostracized gay men.
Our friends at SFist tells us the current California State Assembly member has fallen out of favor in the neighborhood he once organized in with Harvey Milk because Ammiano lacks manners.
"Tom Ammiano stay out of the Castro!" a sign reads in the neighborhood. "Gay MEN have manners."
The openly gay politician must not have gotten the memo before he welcomed Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to a Democratic fundraiser last week by telling him to ""kiss my (gay) ass."
