San Francisco's first Chinese-American mayor may only be finishing out Gavin Newsom's term but he is already a rock star despite what he says.

Mayor Ed Lee will be immortalized on a mural in Chinatown.

The mayor will join Academy of Art University President Dr. Elisa Stephens on Saturday to unveil plans for the mural in Chinatown at 838 Pacific Ave.

The specifics details of the mural are not being unveiled yet but the San Francisco Examiner reports that it will be a “historical mural project,” with Lee at the center.

The ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m.
