A San Rafael man was arrested Saturday morning for allegedly making  death threats to U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer.
A series of threatening messages were left on the voice mail of  the senator's office voice mail after business hours during the week of July  10, 2011, according to San Rafael police.

Police were contacted earlier this week, and an investigation  identified the caller as Kevin Joseph O'Connell.     O'Connell, 47, was arrested near his home on East Francisco  Boulevard and booked into Marin County Jail on one count of making criminal  threats. Bail is set at $500,000 and he is scheduled to make his first court  appearance on Tuesday, July 19th at 9 a.m.
