Republican Presidential Candidates Pan President Obama's Address

Republican presidential candidates criticized President Obama’s Sunday night address to the nation, saying his strategy doesn’t go far enough to defeat ISIS.

GOP candidates have used tough language when talking about terrorism and they issued responses that laid out their plans for defeating the terror group, NBC News reported.

Ted Cruz called on the president to use the term “radical Islamic terrorism.”

GOP frontrunner Donald Trump took to Twitter to live-tweet the president’s speech. He didn’t provide much real-time reaction, but opted for retweeting others.

Democratic nominees also reacted to the president’s address. Hillary Clinton called for immediate action, while Bernie Sanders provided no critique, saying Obama is “right.”
