49ers Aldon Smith Could Have Suspension Reduced: Report

A report out Sunday night said San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith could have his nine-game suspension reduced.

South Bay 49ers fans watched the game against the Denver Broncos Sunday night at the San Jose Bar & Grill--and saw the team could have used him.

According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, the league may reduce his suspension by a game or two due to good behavior. If it is reduced two games, the suspension would be over.

As it stands, he would come back for the game on Nov. 16.

The NFL suspended him last August for violating conduct and substance abuse policies.

But according to Comcast SportsNet Bay Area's Matt Maiocco, 49ers General Manager Trent Baalke said he has no knowledge of any suspension reduction.
