49ers Home Opener Tweetcast from Candlestick

Laurence Scott's notes from the Candlestick

Join in on the conversation during this Tweetcast from Candlestick as the 49ers in their home opener host NFC West rivals the Seattle Seahawks.

The Niners and Seahawks are both 1-0, having each won division games in their openers last week. San Francisco beat the Cardinals 20-16 and Seattle topped St. Louis 28-0 in Week One.

This is the 21st meeting between San Francisco and Seattle with the series dating back to 1976. The Seahawks lead the series 11-9 and won the last meeting 34-13, a game at Candlestick where 49ers Head Coach Mike Singletary made his debut as interim Head Coach last season.

49ers inactives for the game include (3rd QB) Nate Davis, (CB) Marcus Hudson, (S) Curtis Taylor, (LB) Ahmad Brooks, (C) Cody Wallace, (WRs) Brandon Jones and Jason Hill along with (DT) Ricky Jean Francois. The Seahawks report that (DT) Craig Terrill will start in place of former Cal Bear Brandon Mebane.
