49ers Tied For NFL Lead – In Players Arrested

West Coast repeat offenses for members of the 49ers.

Football is still months away, but the San Francisco 49ers are in first place.

For most players arrested in 2014, according to reports.

With linebacker Aldon Smith's bizarre arrest at Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday, the 49ers have seen three players taken away in handcuffs by cops. That ties them for first place in player arrests with the Baltimore Ravens, according to the Seattle Post Intelligencer.

Guard Daniel Kilgore (public intoxication) and cornerback Chris Culliver (hit-and-run, possessing brass knuckles) have also been arrested this year.

Of the 49ers' ten arrests since 2010, four of them were notched by Smith. He's had two DUI busts and was also charged with three felonies for possessing an assault weapon.

Ten arrests ties the 49ers with the Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and the Tennessee Titans.

Tampa Bay, Minnesota and Denver lead the league with 14 busts since 2010. Cincinnatti has 13.

By contrast, the well-behaved Raiders have seen only seven players taken away by police.
