The trending reports show he may stay local, migrating across the Bay to the San Francisco 49ers. But the New York Jets are also "closing in," according to the Bleacher Report.
Now, the BR thinks this is a silly play for the 49ers, since they have so many other problems that need solved -- lower-cost problems, at that.
And reliable, and well-sourced, writer Michael Lombardi tweeted that the 9ers were the "main competition" and that it would be "interesting to see how it plays out..." Those are his ellipses, so maybe he knows something more than we do? Probably so.
