Another Giant Gets Late Night Invite

A World Series win makes you very popular

Giants closer Brian Wilson isn't the only one doing a tour of late night television. The Giants announced Monday that second basemen Freddy Sanchez will make an appearance on "Lopez Tonight" with George Lopez on TBS Tuesday night.

This is a big week for TBS, so Sanchez might actually get some national exposure. Conan O'Brien debuts  Monday night at 11 p.m. on TBS.  If you haven't clued into the Team Coco mania, here's a funny clip O'Brien he posted on YouTube of a practice session.

Back to Lopez and his guest Sanchez.  The slugger is a hero of the 2010 World Series Giants and became even more of a fan favorite in the postseason.  Sanchez is well spoken and was one of those players, who without fail, took time to interact with the fans.  He was the first one to jump off the bus following the team's big win over the Phillies to give high fives to the fans who waited outside AT&T Park on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

The talk show bar was set pretty high when Wilson appeared on Jay Leno.  First, wearing white gloves, Wilson hauled in the World Series trophy.  He also made some real good jokes about his now infamous character "the Machine." (There is no way that was the same guy who appeared on the Fox sports show.)

As for Freddy: We'll have to see what he has in his pocket of late night tricks.
