The World Series victory lap is just about over for San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom.
He recieved his final payment from the mayor of Arlington Texas this week when Robert Cluck flew to SFO for a photo op and a stint as coach of a youth baseball team while wearing a Giants jersey.
The Giants beat the Texas Rangers and claimed the title of World Series Champions on Nov. 1.
The Junior Giants game in the City's Bayview, which had Newsom himself as the opposing coach, was played Wednesday.
Cluck told the Chronicle putting on the jersey was "pretty painful, " but he also found the silver lining in the deal saying he was actually the winner in the end because he got to visit San Francisco.
Cluck delivered on the other part of his bet a couple weeks ago when he sent Newsom and his staff BBQ ribs for lunch. A photo from that event somehow made it to the celebrity Web site TMZ. The leak allowed Newsom to do some extra "ribbing" of the mayor at the time.
