The Oakland Raiders may have already tipped their hat about what the team plans to do with free agent cornerback Nmandi Asomugha but that isn't stopping from pundits from offering their two cents.

When the team opted to resign defensive lineman Richard Seymour to a rich contract, several pundits said the Raiders would no longer be able to resign the All-Pro cornerback, who is expected to be one of the most sought after free agents on the market.

Now former Raiders' executive Mike Lombardi says the team showed it won't keep Asomugha through the Seymour contract.

“Slim and none and I would favor none”, Lombardi said. “Right now once Richard Seymour deal was done, that eliminated Nmandi Asomugha. Seymour got over $22 million of guaranteed money.”

Al Davis hired Lombardi in 1997. He worked with the team as its senior personnel executive, in charge of player evaluations and veteran contracts.
