Barry Bonds Returns to Court

Former Giants star appeals conviction of obstruction of justice.

Pitchers and catchers reported to Spring Training on Monday, and this week, Barry Bonds is back in action, too.

The former Giants slugger and all-time home run champion is in federal court on Wednesday for an appeal of his obstruction of justice conviction.

Bonds was convicted in 2011 of obstructing justice by the evasive testimony he gave in 2003 during a grand jury investigation of BALCO, the Bay Area labs at the center of the steroid scandal.

Three judges will hear Bonds' appeal of the conviction and will issue a decision at a later date.
