Bonds Gets Paired Down Indictment
Slugger faces 10 charges, not 14 as before

Federal prosecutors have filed a revised and pared-down indictment against baseball player Barry Bonds, who is accused of lying to a grand jury about his steroids use.
The new indictment charges the slugger with 10 counts of perjury rather than the 14 charges contained in the previous indictment.
He is still charged with a single count of obstruction of justice and faces the same potential sentence range of probation to roughly two years in prison if convicted.
The new indictment is in response to a judge's decision last week ordering prosecutors to rewrite the technically faulty indictment for the second time since Bonds was originally charged in November 2007.
