Brett Favre's Sister Nabbed in Meth Bust

QB's younger sibling has had past trouble with law

Football star Brett Favre's little sister was one of five people arrested at a Mississippi met lab Wednesday, police said.

Cops found what they termed an active meth lab inside a condo unit in a quiet, upscale community after making an undercover buy.Brandi Favre, 34, was one of the suspects nabbed in the home.

"We bought some meth off of an individual and that's what led us to this location here," said Matt Karl, Director of the Hancock County Narcotics Task Force, told NBC affiliate WLBT-TV.

"When we arrived, there were a couple of people coming out of the house and the chemical smell was just overwhelming. It was pretty bad. And then we discovered the full lab in the bathroom; it was still cooking. I think we collected pretty close to ten grams of finished product, which, that's a lot of meth."

Brandi Favre and theother suspects were charged with manufacturing of meth, possession of a controlled substance, transferring a controlled substance and generation of hazardous waste. She has had past scrapes with the law, according to CBSSports.com. In 1999, she was charged with shoplifting and three years earlier, she was charged with unlawful use of a weapon in connection with a drive-by shooting at a Louisiana motel. She completed a program in Louisiana that allowed her criminal charges to be erased.
