Curry Reassures Golden State Warriors Fans With 12 Words

Superstar point guard Steph Curry calmed Golden State Warriors fans with 12 simple words Tuesday.

Asked by reporters if the two-time defending NBA MVP will resign with the Oakland-based franchise at the end of the upcoming season, Curry offered a succint statement.

"I want to be back here," Curry told reporters. "I like playing here. That's it."

Curry's new wingman, Kevin Durant, was bombarded with free agency speculation during the entirety of last season's campaign before signing on with the Warriors in July, but Curry plans to nip those questions in the bud whenever they surface.

"We'll worry about that in the summer," Curry told reporters. "My answer is not going to be any different all year."

The 28-year-old, who is currently the fourth-highest paid Warrior, is playing out the final year of his four-year, $44,000,000 deal that he signed in 2012, according to spotrac.com. Despite only racking up $12,112,359 in base salary cash this season, Curry will likely benefit from a significant pay increase come summertime during the free agency period.
