Dallas Cowboys Get Green Light to Use Drones During Practices by FAA

The Dallas Cowboys can now use drones during their practices and internal video productions after getting approval from the FAA, NBC News reported.

The team can use drones to record practice, drills and promotional footage. Live games are off limits, since thousands of bystanders could be at risk from an errant UAV.

The drone will have to stay below 400 feet and must be operated by a trained pilot with a direct sight line to the craft.

The Cowboys have already been using drones for practices. The FAA already approved a similar application in September.
