Donald Rumsfield Calls the Raiders' Kettle Evil

Congratulations Raiders' Nation.

You have so successfully perfected the aura surrounding your team that even a man who has been seen as one of the main faces of George W. Bush's "evil empire" thinks your team is evil.

In an interview with the Financial Times during Super Bowl weekend, SF Weekly picked up on one particular nugget from former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfield.

When asked about who he was rooting for in the Super Bowl, the man who dubbed the term "shock and awe" said he was rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers "because of the epic games against the Oakland Raiders in the 1970s."

But he didn't stop there.

"Nobody could support the Raiders," he said. "They're evil."

This coming from the man who shook Saddam Hussein's hand.
