Eli Manning Back to Practice After Stomach Bug

He was on the injury report Wednesday for the first time this season.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning was back at practice Thursday after missing part of Wednesday's workout with what the team called "a stomach bug."

Manning started practice Wednesday, but had to leave the field because he was sick.

Reporters on the field Thursday said it appeared Manning was back at full strength.

Dan Graziano wrote on ESPN:

"Now that we've seen Eli Manning practice Thursday, and New York Giants fans can breathe easier about the stomach bug that knocked him out of Wednesday's practice, we can get back to talking about his rather significant role in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the 49ers in San Francisco."

Manning's inclusion on the Giants' injury report Wednesday marked the first time this season that he missed any work.  He has the NFL's longest consecutive games started streak with 199 straight starts.

The Giants seemingly were not concerned about Manning's illness. Guard and close friend Chris Snee said Manning is the one person of the team who could afford to miss a workout.
