The steep hill near the 8th hole caused some golf fans to slip and fall during the US Open in San Francisco Friday. NBC Bay Area's Cheryl Hurd reports.
Golf fans fell down Friday trying to climb up a steep hill at the US Open.
Drinks were spilled, but the prize for getting to the top of the hill near the 8th hole was a glimpse of top golfers, such as Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Bubba.
Suzanne Krivda figured out the best way to tackle the hill was to take her shoes off.
"I was slipping down the entire time," Krivda said. "It's the hilliest course I've ever seen."
