Happy Birthday John Bowker.
NBC Bay Area Sports has confirmed the hot-hitting lefty has been promoted by the Giants and will join the team for Thursday's game against the Padres in San Francisco.
Bowker -- who turned 26 years old on Wednesday -- got the good news during the Fresno Grizzlies game on Wednesday night. Bowker has been feasting on Triple-A pitching this season -- batting .349 with 17 home runs and 63 RBI.
In 2008, Bowker played in 90 games for the Giants -- batting .255.
