Don't worry 49ers fans, your team is still going to win the NFC West.

Nevermind the 49ers are off to their worst start since 1979 when Joe Montana was still struggling to carve out his legend. York has promised victory.

Just hours after the 49ers latest gut-wrenching loss to the Philadelphia Eagles -- a game that saw quarterback Alex Smith get into an argument with Singletary on national television -- York sent a text message to ESPN predicting the clouds parting ways to reveal the yellow brick road to football glory.

If the bold prediction turns out to be true, York would look prophetic. No team has started 0-5 and made it to the playoffs, let alone win its division, since the NFL switched to its current playoff format in 1990, when York was just 9-years-old.
